This podcast series is a continuation of The Clarinet People podcast. Each episode will focus on specific questions about how our Asian-American identity fits into our growing careers, and the various pressures we may or may not have faced in regards to our identity in music. What is unique about the experience of Asian and Asian-American musicians is that we are not particularly underrepresented but we are not really seen either.
Ruders and Nørgård: A look within the Danish repertoire
Critical study of Danish works and composers offers the chance to discover a whole vibrant body of clarinet repertoire that can serve to color and diversify the standard canon of music clarinetists draw from today. To that end, I have created a video series showcasing clarinet works written by living Danish composers.
